Rogue or vogue?

January 13, 2010

Reviewing the 2010 predictions at a macro level, I was struck at the division between whether or not web 2.0 technologies will continue to be seen as “rogue” within an organization and the learning field overall OR if it will make the leap to “vogue” and everyone will be rushing to prove they were on the bandwagon all along.

I also received my December T+D mag this week (better late than never?) and according to a survey by Robert Half, 54% of respondents strictly prohibit all social networking use.  Sad.  Your turn, what do you think?

Change may be slow – at the same time I fear web 2.0 going vogue – most fads fizzle and die and the real value is only collected by the canny few who stop – think what can this do for me – and then do it well!!!

Doing something because “others are doing it” is no reason at all.
